Adobe Lightroom course in Trieste
“OneDay” course on using Adobe Lightroom
– Saturday 25 November 2022 –
Adobe Lightroom is one of the programs photographers use most to manage, organise and improve their images: this course is for anyone who wants to learn to use it well, starting from scratch.
Thanks to digital photography, the number of photos you take has grown exponentially: but can you manage this flood of images properly, backing them up correctly and “saving them in the right place“?
Can you find a photo you took “you can’t quite remember when” and then export it in the right format to share it on social media?
And above all, can you improve your images using one of the best programs on the market (Adobe Lightroom!), creating images that reflect what you “saw” when you took the shot?
In the beginner photography course here in Trieste we learned to use the camera in its various modes; now we need to be able to manage and improve all the photos we take.
Goals of the “Adobe Lightroom in Trieste” course
- During the course you’ll learn to use Lightroom in a dynamic and fun way, learning to store and organise your photo files using the flexibility and power of the Lightroom Library and its catalogues, so you can find and organise them easily with keywords and “stars”… at last your photos will be in order!!!
- You’ll learn to use Lightroom’s Develop module, the part of the program for processing your photos, letting you “fix” your images by adjusting colours, contrast, white balance, lens distortion…
- You’ll be able to edit groups of images “in bulk” that need the same adjustments (how many times have you had to make the same corrections one by one, photo after photo, wasting loads of time?)
- You’ll be able to export your raw files as JPGs, at the best size and format, to share them with friends on social media or by email, automatically adding your signature to your images.
- You’ll understand how Lightroom works together with Adobe Photoshop, the most widely used program for photo retouching (Photoshop is covered in another course).
Prerequisites
This course is for those who have never used Lightroom as well as those who already have a basic knowledge of the program.
You need to be able to use Windows (or Mac) at a basic level, from creating folders to navigating the file system. Of course, help will be given to anyone who gets stuck.
