From the sea to the Karst to the mountains with Caterina Stenta
Caterina Stenta is an all-round athlete: Italian stand-up paddleboarding champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019, she now (also) devotes herself to mountain running and ski mountaineering.
In SUP she won a silver and a bronze at the 2018/2019 world championships, and in mountain running she was top 20 in the Golden Trail World Series at the Marathon du Mont Blanc 2022, second at the Ledro Sky in 2022 and eighth at the final of the Golden Trail National in the Azores in 2021.
For this photo session we chose a location “just behind home” (she is from Trieste): Mount Cocusso (the Kokos), whose trails of varying difficulty make it a great training ground for local trail runners.
Then, thanks to holidays in the Aurina Valley at the same time (for a couple of years I have been doing cross-country skiing, something for “old people”…), more photos, this time in the snow, among the beautiful mountains of South Tyrol.
One lovely thing about Caterina when she runs? She is always smiling!
